Gary Darychuk

After graduating with his MBA from the University of Alberta, Gary Darychuk worked for eight years as a Diplomat serving in Havana, Dallas and Rio de Janeiro. Always looking for new adventures, he moved on to new positions as Fording Coal's Marketing Manager for Latin America, as Vice President of Marketing for the Cape Breton Development Corporation (DEVCO), as Manager of the Alberta Division of the Western Canada Lottery, and as Project Marketing Manager for BC Hydro's Vancouver Island Pipeline Project. He has been identified by Profit Magazine as a Serial Entrepreneur.

Settling in New Brunswick in 1997, Gary is the founder and CEO of TNS Group. He is responsible for developing its vision and corporate culture.

Gary's achievements include the Saint John Board of Trade Entrepreneurial Achievement Award 2001; Finalist, CME's Export Achievement Award in 2002; One of Atlantic Business Magazine Top 50 CEO's in 2002 and 2004; and finalist in the Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2003 and 2004.

Mary Stewart is the Vice President of Operations for the TNS Group responsible for building the organizational culture, structure and discipline that has made us the 6th "Best Company to Work For in Atlantic Canada". Mary provides stability and leadership while implementing performance measurements and constructive strategies to retain existing business. Mary has also assisted in the identification of technical issues and engaged internal and external stakeholders in the resolution of those issues to facilitate the implementation of effective solutions. Mary's strategy is the power of teams.

From 1974 to 1996, Mary held the position of General Manager, then Vice President, of Marine, Industrial & Technical Sales Co. Ltd., a firm specializing in engineered industrial and marine equipment. Mary was responsible for all operations of the company and developed and implemented business strategies to achieve greater market share/penetration. Mary led, planned, budgeted and managed a team of sales and engineering staff through two recessions to bring the award winning company growth and success.

Mary has a certificate in Business Administration from the NBCC - New Brunswick Community College and 1st year Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick. Mary also holds a CMP designation in Human Resources (Canadian Management Professional), Institute of Professional Management and is a member of the HRANB (Human Resources Association of New Brunswick), Contact NB, and NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers).

Mary is the chief organizer of the Terry Fox Run for Cancer research and is involved in Hestia House, which provides temporary shelter to women and children who are victims of family violence and the Romero House Soup Kitchen.
