October 14, 2010 - TNS Group Wins CAM-X Award of Excellence
TNS Group of Saint John, NB has been honoured with the exclusive 2010 Award of Excellence for the Fifth consecutive year. The award is presented annually by the Canadian Call Management Association (CAM-X), the industry's Trade Association for providers of call centre services including telephone answering and message delivery. TNS Group was presented with the award recently at the CAM-X 46th Annual Convention and Trade Show held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, NV
Independent judges are contracted by CAM-X to evaluate message services throughout Canada over a six-month period. The criteria for scoring include courtesy, response time, accuracy and overall service to their clients. If the company scores 80% or better in ALL categories, they are presented with the coveted Award of Excellence. The program is now in its 21st year.
"Participation in the AOE helps create a focus on service quality that runs levels deep throughout an organization and not just during the program period, but each and every day of the year. This translates into satisfied customers and allows everyone, at all levels, to take pride in their personal participation as well as in the company as a whole. And in a service industry, nothing builds employee confidence more than positive feedback from satisfied customers" says CAM-X President Gary Blair. "We congratulate TNS Group for their achievements."
Founded in 1964, CAM-X began as a national trade Association representing live answering services. The Canadian Call Management Association now encompasses companies across Canada offering specialized and enhanced operator based services including: call centres, contact centres, inbound telemarketing (order entry), paging, voice messaging, emergency dispatch, fax, and internet services among others.
Now a five-time winner, TNS Group earned the Gold Award for five consecutive years. CAM-X extends its congratulations to the staff of TNS Group on their proven quality service to their customers.

June 26, 2009 - TNS Debuts As 6th Best Place To Work
Winning awards is not the motivation for nurturing a work environment where every opinion is respected, every initiative is encouraged and every contribution is valued. But, it can certainly go a long way in validating a company's efforts to create a people-first culture.
And, so it was at the 2009 "Best Places to Work in Atlantic Canada" awards luncheon held recently in Halifax. Saint John-based TNS Group was one of 25 businesses recognized for leading the way in defining the employee experience of the 21st century.
"We were thrilled just to be included on this year's list of finalists," said Gary Darychuk, Chairman of TNS. "To place so high among those companies which have been singled out as superior in workplace excellence is a tremendous honor."
The Best Places to Work in Atlantic Canada project is a regional program managed by Best Companies Group in partnership with Progress magazine of Halifax. In selecting the businesses to achieve the "best places to work" distinction, the organizers research the dynamics and characteristics of great workplaces, analyzing data on everything from career development and benefits to leadership and personal well-being.
The process includes a questionnaire given to employees of companies across the Atlantic region.
"This recognition is especially gratifying because it reflects a high level of satisfaction among our staff," said Mr. Darychuk. "What matters most today is fostering an environment where employees are passionate about what they do, believe they can make a difference and are empowered to participate in decision-making. Feeling challenged and valued is vital to their achieving their full potential and to their providing exceptional service to our clients."
"Of all the awards we have received, and those that I have received personally, this is by far the most meaningful," he said. "This is a time for every member of our team to reflect on the great things we have dreamed of, evaluated and implemented to get us to where we are today. Our employees are the essence of our company and what we represent."
